Lane County Sheriff Arrests Man in Veneta After Swisshome Assault

A 24-year-old man allegedly attacked and injured a woman in Swisshome on Tuesday morning. He was later arrested the same morning in Veneta, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s office.

Officials from LCSO responded around 10:30 a.m. on June 25 to a reported assault in the 12700 block of Village Loop Road in Swisshome. Deputies learned on their way there that the suspect, identified as Alexander Blake Cullen, had fled the scene in a vehicle.

After setting up in the area, deputies located Cullen in a Veneta parking lot about 40 miles away. He was arrested without incident and taken to the Lane County Jail.

According to Lane County Circuit Court records, Cullen faces charges including coercion, fourth-degree assault, harassment, and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. As of June 28, 2024, he remains in custody.
