A young man in his twenties was killed and five others were hurt in an early morning shooting in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, according to police on Sunday.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said in a social media post that officers were called to the shooting scene around 2:30 a.m. CT.
Police said their initial investigation revealed that a fight broke out among women, and later men got involved and guns were drawn. Police added that at least one gun was found at the scene, but it’s still too early to know if it was used in the shooting.
The police department stated that one person, a man in his mid-20s, died at the scene, and at least five others were injured. The extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.
