Police are still looking for the person who shot and killed two brothers while they were sitting in their car in a neighborhood near the LA Coliseum. The victims were Sergio Rios Jr., aged 34, and Ricardo Rios, aged 19.
The shooting happened on Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. in a residential area close to USC. The brothers were in a silver car when the shooter came up and started shooting.
The older brother died right there, and the younger one died later in the hospital.
The police are trying to find the person responsible. They think the shooter left the area in an older white Toyota sedan.
People who knew the victims say they were not involved in gangs and were good guys.
Friends and family have set up a fundraiser to help Sergio’s partner, Mabel Lopez, and their twin toddlers with funeral costs and to support them financially after losing Sergio. Sergio is remembered as a loving family man, and Ricardo as a young man with big dreams.
