Nicolas Cage’s son, Weston Cage, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He turned himself in after a warrant was issued earlier this year.
Fox News Digital confirmed that Weston went to the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th precinct early on Wednesday, July 10. He was booked at 7:57 a.m. and released on a $150,000 bond at 9:50 a.m.
The warrant was based on a police report from an incident on April 28. Weston and his mother, Christina Fulton, had a fight at her home in Los Angeles. According to law enforcement, Weston punched two people multiple times, causing injuries. The case was sent to the district attorney on May 10, and Weston was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Weston and Nicolas Cage’s representatives did not comment.
Nicolas Cage has three children: Weston, 33, with ex Christina Fulton; Kal-El, 18, with his third wife, Alice Kim; and August, 22 months, with his fifth wife, Riko Shibata.
Weston has been arrested before and has struggled with substance abuse. He was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run in 2017. In 2015, Weston talked about his journey to sobriety, saying people thought he was “digging his grave.” He said that his children and family helped him stay sober.
