A man’s body was found in Lake Michigan’s “Playpen” area on Wednesday evening and has been identified as 58-year-old Tony Jackson, who went missing while boating over the weekend.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Jackson died from drowning, and his death was ruled accidental.

Jackson’s body was recovered from the water around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago police reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson fell into Lake Michigan at the “Playpen” on Saturday afternoon and did not resurface. Search crews looked for him on Saturday until dark, and resumed the search on Sunday, but were unable to find him until Wednesday.
