Stephen Johnson III, who was 19 years old, passed away in a tragic accident on West White Horse Pike on Friday, June 7, as confirmed by the Galloway Township Police Department. According to their statement, officers discovered Johnson’s body on the road near the intersection of West Jimmie Leeds Road around 1:30 a.m.
Investigators reported that a man from Galloway was driving a Toyota RAV4 heading west on West White Horse Pike when he collided with Johnson, who was riding an e-scooter in the travel lane.
The impact threw Johnson onto the road, where he was then hit by an Acura TLX driven by a man from Egg Harbor Township.
