A disturbing video from Eyewitness News shows a 95-year-old woman being attacked by a home health aide in Harlem over the weekend.

The incident occurred on July 21 when the aide was sent to help the woman, who uses a walker and needs an oxygen tank.

The video, captured by the victim’s Nest camera, shows the aide hitting her with a pan and repeatedly striking her until she fell to the floor.

“It was a nightmare,” said Michelle Mitchell, the victim’s granddaughter. “It was horrific. It was one of the worst days of my life.”

Mitchell, who was in New Jersey, watched the attack unfold on her phone because the family had cameras in her grandmother’s apartment.

“It was so unreal to me that someone could hit someone like that,” Mitchell added.

The victim has bruises, is in pain, and can’t lift her arms. Doctors are concerned she might have blood clots.

The aide works for Medflyt at Home Health Care Agency. Eyewitness News contacted the company, but they did not respond.

Police are searching for the aide, but no arrests have been made yet.
