An 18-year-old who was shot and found in a car with multiple bullet holes on Monday has died, according to Arlington police. They say a 17-year-old has been charged with his murder.
Joshua Nunn turned himself in at the Tarrant County Jail on Thursday morning, police reported. He is accused of shooting and killing Jesus Galarza, who later died in a Fort Worth hospital from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. Galarza was from Fort Worth.
Police believe Galarza and a 20-year-old planned to meet Nunn on Monday for what they describe as risky drug dealings. Shortly after they arrived, Nunn allegedly pulled out a gun and shot at them inside their vehicle.
Police responded to the scene on the 400 block of Claire Court just before 7:30 p.m. after receiving a report of the shooting. They found Galarza and the other victim injured by gunshots. Nunn had already left the area.
Galarza was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries. The 20-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
