Police are looking into a shooting that happened at a supermarket in Lynn on Saturday night.
Crime scene tape was put up around a black car that had crashed into bushes and trees in the parking lot of the Market Basket on Federal Street.
A 17-year-old boy who was shot was taken to Salem Hospital from the Market Basket in Lynn but was pronounced dead, according to the DA’s office.
Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said, “This is another example of the devastating impact of gun violence on the lives of our young people. Our hearts are with the family of the victim. We will work diligently to achieve justice in this case on their behalf.”
The shooting is being investigated, and there is no more information available at this time.
