The recent blast of icy weather has postponed Smithville's boys basketball game against Savannah until tomorrow. Freezing precipitation and dropping temperatures made for treacherous travel conditions across Northwest Missouri and forced the Savages to delay the game until Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. Smithville's girls, meanwhile, will journey to Savannah for a Midland Empire Conference matchup with the Savages on Tuesday night at the same time. After beating Maryville on its home floor, the Warriors' boys (11-9) hope to stay in the thick of the MEC race with crucial contests against Cameron and Lafayette still to come. Smithville's girls look to bounce back from consecutive losses to Maryville and St. Joseph Benton against a challenging Savannah squad.
