Sometimes, leadership means building a castle out of a floor full of plastic blocks. About 20 teenagers from across the region are taking part in the 2009 Youth Leadership Northland program. Sponsored by the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, it’s designed to teach networking, public speaking, time management and other skills needed to succeed in business and help local communities, according to chamber Vice President Karla Martinez. |
