During the Tuesday, Feb. 2, Smithville Board of Aldermen meeting, Smithville Mayor Carol Troutwine announced that during the board’s Tuesday, Feb. 16, workshop, the board will discuss the possibility of removing the city’s personal property tax, which sits near 45 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
