The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to close Missouri Highway 92 east of Smithville, between Mt. Olivet Road and Century Drive, at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, according to a transportation department press release. The road should reopen later that evening. The closing will allow the transportation department to replace a failing culvert under the road, which is causing the roadway to collapse, according to the department.
